Your morning report needs four numbers, not five logins.
At Profit Guest Services we build it in that order: decide what triggers a decision first, then automate the collection. Most hotels do the opposite and end up with a dashboard nobody reads.
The four numbers
- Net pickup since yesterday, for the next 30 days.
- Occupancy and ADR on the books for tonight and the next 7 days, against the same point last year.
- Your rate position against the comp set for the next 14 days, flagged only where it moved.
- What broke: a stop sell still on, a closed channel, a failed rate push.
How to get there in three steps
- Schedule the export. Every PMS, channel manager and rate shopper can email a file on a timer. No API needed for step one.
- Have one script merge those files into a single page and send it at 6:00 am.
- Show exceptions only. If a number did not move enough to change a rate, it does not need a line.
What if a number never triggers anything? Cut it after a month. A report you skim is a report you will stop opening.
